From May 14 to 16, 2025, Avatar 3D Tech was honored to participate in the European Defence Innovation Days (EDID25), organized by the European Defence Agency (EDA) in Krakow, Poland. This leading event brought together policymakers, defence industry leaders, startups, and research institutions to accelerate the integration of innovative solutions into Europe’s military and security operations.
Our solution, aligned with Europe’s future capabilities
The theme of this year’s event—“Building Tomorrow’s Capabilities Today – Bridging Defence Innovation and Fielding”—resonated strongly with our mission. Avatar 3D Tech presented a fully integrated sizing and fit recommendation solution for both body and feet, designed to streamline logistics and ensure personalized equipment for defence personnel.
Our 3D scanning technology allows for accurate, remote body measurement collection. Even before personnel arrive at their deployment location, their exact sizing can be determined and sent to logistics systems. This results in pre-prepared, tailor-fitted uniforms, footwear, and technical gear upon arrival—saving time, reducing costs, and improving overall comfort and performance.
Remote scanning: personalization from anywhere
One of the most powerful features of our platform is its remote deployment capability. Soldiers and officers can scan themselves from home using our solution and send their data directly to centralized logistics. When they reach a base or operations center, their gear is ready and waiting—custom-fit to their individual measurements.
This feature is especially valuable in fast-moving or high-readiness scenarios, where traditional sizing and fitting processes would slow down deployment. It enhances agility, improves operational efficiency, and offers a better end-user experience.
While the solution is optimized for defence, its applications go beyond the military. National and regional police forces, civil security units, and any organization that requires technical gear under demanding conditions can benefit from this system.
A strong presence at EDID25
During the event, the Avatar 3D Tech team took part in roundtable discussions, technical presentations, and networking sessions. In the “tech talks,” we introduced our 3D scanner and digital sizing platform to a wide audience—from military officials to defence suppliers and European logistics managers.
At our exhibition stand, visitors experienced live demonstrations of both body and foot scanning. They saw in real time how our system captures precise measurements and recommends the best size in seconds—highlighting the simplicity and efficiency of our platform.
Breakout Session
We also participated in Breakout Session 4, which highlighted innovation drivers within the defence ecosystem. Our team engaged with start-ups and SMEs presenting disruptive technologies, dual-use solutions, and novel business models aimed at transforming defence and security operations. The session fostered dynamic exchanges on how emerging tech can accelerate operational readiness and resilience.
Looking ahead
EDID25 reinforced our position as a leader in defence-focused personalization technology. The event allowed us to build valuable connections, exchange ideas with European defence stakeholders, and validate the relevance of our technology in real-world military operations.
